Imminence (single)

about

I composed this track back in November of 2016 to be used as the soundtrack for a vlog documenting a weekend to Flagstaff, AZ with my wife Jill. Here's the original video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJh6Vq335lQ

It's one of these musical pieces that almost composed itself, call it serendipity. But I never took the time to revisit the composition and to mix it properly until now.

This piece is part of a larger project I'm working on to incorporate the handpan into other musical genres. This song is meant to be post-rock with saturated guitars and drums.

The track artwork shows a big storm approaching in the night sky. The title Imminence seems to render the anticipation of dark clouds looming on the horizon, the calm before the storm.
